Dr. Seuss honored at Nichols Elem.

-A A +A

Students always celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday at Nichols Elementary with the annual Read to Me Week.

Each year the school invites various community members to visit the classrooms and read to children to promote reading.

Every reader is encouraged to bring their favorite books to share, many of the visitors presenting Dr. Seuss stories.

Students were also treated to a birthday cake in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2. Read to Me Week coincides with the Read Across America Day event presented March 1 by the National Education Association.
