Driver loses control; car misses house, pool

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - A driver narrowly avoided a splashdown in a residential swimming pool Monday afternoon.


Shepherdsville Police Ofc. Jeremy Wilson said a red Chevy Cobalt was headed eastbound on Highway 44 East when the driver lost control near the Shawnee Acres subdivision.

According to Wilson, the driver, a 22-year-old female, lost control, leaving the roadway and crashing through a residential backyard fence on Mills Ct.

The Cobalt crossed the yard, resting just a few feet from the above-ground pool.

No injuries were reported. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m.

Shepherdsville Fire and Bullitt County EMS units also responded to the scene.
