HILLVIEW - The failure of a sewage treatment plant last month has led to the state Department of Public Health and the Department of Environmental Protection to issue a public advisory.
Due to high levels of E. coli in the unnamed tributary of Brooks Run and in Brooks Run itself, the state has advised the public from having any contact with those waters.
Also, contact should be avoided with any sediments or the stream banks. The tributary runs behind the South Louisville Logistics Industrial Park and past the Jewish Hospital Medical Center South.
