HEBRON ESTATES - One of the biggest wins a year ago for the North Bullitt Lady Eagles was a win at home against Sixth Region rival Pleasure Ridge Park.
The green and gold tired to duplicate that feat on Monday of last week, but coach Amber Courtney’s team came up short as they fell on the road 54-40.
Most of the trouble came in the first half as the Lady Eagles scored just 12 points. They were not able to overcome that poor start despite scoring 28 points in the second half.
Without leading scorer Savannah Morrison, who was out with an illness, North Bullitt played well enough to win but couldn’t finish a lot of easly opportunities, said Courtney.
“Focus and finish,” Courtney said was her most recent motto for the team.
Despite the 14-point setback, Courtney said there were still signs of improvement.
“We played really well in spurts,” said Courtney. “We had our chances.”
Kasey McCoy led North Bullitt with 13 points.

North Bullitt coach Lee Barger said the woes of poor shooting sunk the Eagles once again.
After Holy Cross, the home team got off to a great start, leading at the first stop by a point.
However, Barger said despite excellent effort, the Eagles are just not a good shooting team. Without an inside presence, Barger said the team must rely upon its shooting.
