East goes 2-1 over short week

 MOUNT WASHINGTON - A loss to North Bullitt (see last Monday’s edition) was disappointing last week for the Bullitt East Chargers, but the red and gold still managed a strong week as they beat both Manual and Atherton.

Against Manual on Monday, the Chargers had to rally from a 4-1 deficit after the Crimsons scored all of their runs in the top of the third innings. Bullitt East countered with two runs in the bottom of that frame and then won the game with single runs in the sixth and seventh frames.
