MOUNT WASHINGTON - Facing four of the top 15 teams in the state in a four-day span, the Bullitt East Lady Chargers got the 2012 softball season off to a formidable start.
The final tally from week one showed a 3-3 overall record with a 1-3 mark against the top-15 foes.
The highest rank foe came was faced on Wednesday when the Lady Chargers went into Jefferson County and lost a 6-5 decision to Ballard, the state’s second-ranked team. A year ago, Ballard beat the red and gold 1-0.
