Election fields may be small, races still interesting

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Some looking toward a race for state Senate or state House of Representatives will have a little bit longer to consider their fate.

With a legal challenge being made to House Bill 1, which is best known as the redistricting bill, Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd issued a restraining order.

The order pushes the filing deadline for Senate and House seats back to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7. For local races, the deadline was on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
