Emotions heat up as city to hire firm to draft procedures

Grinch can’t steal holiday - The lighted drive-thru display of Christmas decorations remains open at the Shepherdsville City Park. Mayor Scott Ellis said police are looking for any information on the person responsible for cutting cords on some of the displays. The lighted displays will remain open through Jan. 1.

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Whether the current policy and procedures manual for Shepherdsville anything about decorum during council meetings, the updated one might need it.

As opinions differed on the need for an outside company to revise its policies, the tensions rose.

It was apparent that the two former Fox Chase city officials - Bernie Brown and Corky Miller - had different opinions on the topic.

In the end, the council voted 4-2 to hire HR Resources of Indiana to complete the task.
