FORT KNOX - Two trips to Fort Knox instead of one didn’t help the local golf contingent at last week’s Boys’ Region 5 Tournament at Lindsey Golf Course on the base at Fort Knox.
All three teams traveled to the course early on Tuesday morning under threatening skies. By the time the first ball was ready to be struck, torrential rains, heavy wind and lightning sent all the players to the clubhouse, a tight spot with over 100 golfers and coaches set to play that day.
