Farm Bureau scholarship applications due

 The Bullitt County Farm Bureau has a way to assist high school seniors planning to attend college.

Four scholarships are presented annually by the Farm Bureau in the amount of $2,000 for each year.

However, applications must be turned in by Feb. 28, 2011, to be eligible.

BULLITT COUNTY FARM BUREAU YOUNG FARMER’S SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Bullitt County Farm Bureau Young Farmer’s organization is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior of a Bullitt County High School.  You must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).  This application must be postmarked by April 1, 2011.

 

WOMEN’S EDUCATIONAL GRANT

Don’t forget that the deadline for the Women’s Educational Grant Application is Oct. 28, 2011.  The grant is targeting the woman who is a non-traditional student—one who is resuming her education after leaving school-either secondary or post secondary-to fulfill either family or work-related responsibilities. 

 

PAUL D. EVERMAN FUND FOR LIFETIME LEARNING SCHOLARSHIP

The Paul D. Everman Fund for Lifetime Learning Scholarship is for a non-traditional student (23 years of age) planning to continue undergraduate studies at an accredited Kentucky college or university.  An application is due April 29, 2011.  

 

LOUIS F. ISON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This student must hold a baccalaureate degree from any recognized four-year college in the state of Kentucky and be enrolled or accepted for admission as a full-time graduate student and be pursuing a graduate degree in the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture.  Previous winners are not eligible.  The total scholarship amount is $1,000 and will be awarded directly to the student by check in three separate payments.  The applications are due in the KFBF office in Louisville by April 29, 2011.

 

KENTUCKY FARM BUREAU YOUNG FARMER SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is for $1,000 dollars for the 2011-2012 school year.  Must be a member of Kentucky Farm Bureau and remain such while the scholarship is in force.  You need to be between the ages of 18-35 years old and not have reached 36 by January 1, 2012.  Vocational/Technical school students and Graduate-level students are also eligible to apply.  You must be enrolled as a full-time student, a college upperclassman, and be majoring in agriculture or a related field.  All application materials must be postmarked by April 29, 2011.
