SHEPHERDSVILLE - There is good news for parents at five Bullitt County schools.
Starting with the new school year, students at Lebanon Junction, Brooks and Maryville elementaries and Bullitt Lick Middle School can receive free breakfast and lunch, if they choose.
Angela Voyles, school food service director, said the chosen schools qualified for the community eligibility provision program (a part of the No Kid Hungry initiative) because 40 percent of its population is “directly certified” (which means they participate in either SNAP or TANF).
