SHEPHERDSVILLE - A former city employee will escape prison time following the theft of a valuable piece of pipe.
Jeffrey Miller, 33, of Shepherdsville, entered a guilty plea to the charge of theft by unlawful taking over $500.
Under terms of the guilty plea, Miller would receive a two-year prison sentence but that would be diverted for five years.
He would have to serve 60 days in the county jail and pay restitution of $2,293 to the city of Shepherdsville.
