Foundation hands out grants to Bullitt educational projects

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt County Foundation for Excellence in Public Education has approved $7,000 in grants to schools.

The money was raised during the 2012 Derby Gala and through employee payroll deductions. A committee of education and business leaders met and distributed the funds.

“We are very proud to announce these grants,” said Foundation Chairperson Judy Cederholm. “I was delighted the foundation could help with additional proposals. More school requests were honored.”
