SHEPHERDSVILLE - The service is so good that the money has run out for a few months.
The Bullitt County Conservation District has received $5,000 in grant money every year for the dead animal removal program.
However, in the past year, the program has been so needed that the grant has been spent - as well as $2,000 from the conservation funds.
Because of the lack of funds, the dead animal removal program ceased on July 1.
Anyone needing those services through Bluegrass Recycling will be responsible for their own costs.
The conservation district expects to get more grant funds in September, which it would be able to resume providing the program.
The state conservation environmental grants also assist the county in holding its annual junk pickup days.
