Garbage bids to be awarded Monday

      SHEPHERDSVILLE - City officials in Shepherdsville wanted a little time to sort through bids submitted by three companies before awarding its next garbage collection contract.

     Current franchise holder Eco-Tech was joined by Waste Management and Rumpke in the bidding process.

     The present contract was extended to March 31, 2013, to give Shepherdsville officials time to look at its present ordinance and to give companies time to present a proposal.
