Garbage collection day in Fox Chase to change during month of March

 FOX CHASE - Trash day may become a new day in Fox Chase by March.

Mayor William Broughton announced during the city’s February council meeting that Rumpke, the trash collection company under contract with the city, wanted to change days from Monday to Tuesday.

The council agreed to the day change, along with a renewed one-year contract extension through Oct. 31, 2013.

With the contract extension, trash collection rates will not change, remaining at $9.25.
