Dr. Cindy Meyers Gnadinger has been selected as the vice president for academic affairs at St. Catharine College in Springfield.
She is the daughter of Dale and Leona Meyers of Shepherdsville. Cindy graduated from St. Aloysius Catholic School and in 1984 from Bullitt Central High School.
She came to the Washington County college after serving as vice president for academic affairs at William Peace University in Raleigh, N.C., and as an assistant vice president for academic affairs at Bellarmine University.
She was one of nearly 40 applicants for the position and one of three brought to the campus for an interview.
“We’re fortunate to attract someone primarily from our area and from an Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities institution,” said college president William Huston.
While at Bellarmine, Gnadinger led the development of four new graduate degree programs, coordinated formal outreach initiatives to community agencies and established the Bellarmine Center for Teaching, Excellence and Leadership.
Gnadinger is also a Fulbright Scholar with research interests that include the teacher and learning process in grades 1-12 and in higher education settings.
