Groundhog Nichols Nick: Bullitt County's forecast a toss up

Nichols Nick, Bullitt County’s own weather forecasting groundhog, was not feeling well on February 2, therefore he did not venture from his hole to predict how much more winter we have in store.

In a public statement Nichols Nick apologized for any inconvenience, saying that he would leave the prediction to his Pennsylvania cousin, Punxsutawney Phil, who failed to see his shadow when he peered from his hole Wednesday morning.

According to Groundhog Day tradition, that means Americans may be in for an early spring.
