SHEPHERDSVILLE - While Steven Hallman was sentenced to 25 years in prison, Christine Nugent Skaggs said her family has been given a life sentence.
After listening to emotional testimony from four family members and after listening to the Hallman speak publicly for the first time, Bullitt Circuit Judge Rodney Burress affirmed the jury’s decision.
Hallman was found guilty of the Oct. 13, 2007, murder of Kimberly Nugent Hallman and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The 31-year-old Hallman must serve at least 20 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
