SHEPHERDSVILLE - The final days are counting down to the primary election filing deadline.
With the low number of candidates as of Friday afternoon, that might mean it will be a busy Monday and Tuesday for local election officials.
The race which has garnered the most interest is for the office of circuit clerk.
Incumbent Layne Abell will have opposition in the May Democratic primary. Abell will be challenged by a familiar foe, Rani Lynn Mulvaney Davis.
