SHEPHERDSVILLE – City officials are moving closer to deciding whether a much-discussed civil service ordinance needs to be altered.
Councilman Larry Hatfield has made it known that he is not pleased with the current provisions.
Currently, the mayor does not have the right to terminate or demote any employee, including supervisors, without being subject to a hearing before the civil service board.
Hatfield said he had talked with all but one supervisor and they seemed to be OK with his proposal.
