MOUNT WASHINGTON - After a five-year hiatus from their Mount Washington practice, Dr. Gary Hathcoat and his wife Cheryl recently joined with Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce members, Mount Washington mayor Joetta Calhoun and local residents to celebrate the grand re-opening of Precision EyeCare Optometry.
Precision EyeCare began serving the community out of its original office on Old Bardstown Road in 1993. The practice moved to its current location at 11102 Highway 44 E. in 1996 where it remained operational until 2006 when the Hathcoats sold the business to be with family in Michigan.
The Hathcoats returned to Mount Washington last year when they decided to re-open Precision EyeCare. Dr. Hathcoat said his practice maintains its commitment to serving patients and providing quality eye care.
“We’re so glad to be back,” he said.
Precision EyeCare provides a variety of optometric services for all ages, including laser vision management, eyewear, contact lenses, cataract management, glaucoma treatment, diabetes management, macular degeneration management, allergy tear therapy and dry eye therapy.
The revamped practice boasts new equipment, computerized electronic health records and an in-house stock of eyeglass frames and contact lenses. Incidentally, all eyeglass lenses come with a two year scratch warranty.
The Hathcoats reside in Mount Washington with their daughter, Rachael, 20.
Precision EyeCare is located on Highway 44 E. near the Bardstown Road Bypass across from Walgreens. Patients are welcome Mondays and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m and Saturdays by appointment.
