SHEPHERDSVILLE - The seventh annual Healthy Hearts luncheon, presented by the Bullitt County Health Department, had Bullitt Countians seeing red in a good way. The event raised $2,423 for donation to the American Heart Association to help promote heart disease awareness.
Guest speakers included Dr. William C. Dillon, MD, (right) who focused on heart disease awareness and response, and Lynn Tincher, who gave personal testimonial on her own experiences.
The event included a fashion show by Dillard’s featuring local models who are heart disease survivors, including husband and wife, Richmond and Joyce Marcy. Other survivor models included Brenda Eddington, Wayne Russell and Brenda Secoy.
Patrons worked off a healthy lunch with exercise demonstrations provided by the Bullitt County YMCA and Dance with Steve and Donna.
The Healthy Hearts luncheon was also sponsored by Bullitt County Extension Homemakers, Paroquet Springs Conference Centre and Passport Health Plan.
