Hebron Estates won’t raise property tax rate

 HEBRON ESTATES - Residents in the city of Hebron Estates will not see an increase in their taxes.

The city commission agreed to keep ad valorem tax rates the same this year during their August business meeting.

City attorney Mark Edison said last year’s real property tax rate was set at 9.2 cents per $100 of property.

According to Edison, a compensating rate, allowing the city to collect the same amount as last year, would need to be increased up to 9.33 cents. However, a maximum rate the city could increase the rate by law was set at 9.238 cents.
