SHEPHERDSVILLE - Thanks to House Bill 262 and the decision of Bullitt County officials to serve as part of a pilot program, individuals who still have not paid their 2008 property taxes have a little bit longer before they are sold.
But the time to make steps to avoid the bills being sold is quickly arriving.
According to Bullitt County Clerk Kevin Mooney, tax bills will be sold on Aug. 12. And those bills could be purchased by a third party, which could ultimately wind up in the property facing foreclosure down the road.
