Students from Brooks Elementary met their goal for attendance on Sept. 15 and principal Sheri Lineweaver had to pay the price.
And it was a very high price at that.
When the Brooks Elementary attendance goal was reached, Lineweaver agreed to climb up on the roof of the school. She was accompanied by a Zoneton Volunteer firefighter.
Both threw candy out to the awaiting student body.
High Attendance incentives were common in the district. On that particular day, schools across the state use the date for funding and staffing purposes in Frankfort.
