SHEPHERDSVILLE - After a very short break for Christmas, the six area high school basketball teams will be back in action starting on Tuesday of this week in a number of different tournaments.
The two Bullitt East programs are really hitting the road this week as on Monday morning they will be getting on chartered buses and heading to Florida for the Fort Walton Beach Blowout. The teams will stay through the week before returning home on New Year’s Eve.
The other four teams from Bullitt County will stay a little closer to home as they will be playing in Kentucky. The main focus will be on the First Citizens Bank Classic at North Bullitt, which will include the girls’ teams from both Bullitt Central and North Bullitt.
A look at the four tournaments taking place in Kentucky includes:

With her program maturing on the court, North Bullitt Lady Eagle head coach bumped up the level of competition this season for the annual First Citizens Bank Classic.
