LOUISVILLE - Spring is just around the corner and now is the perfect time to begin thinking about the home improvement, landscaping and redecorating projects you have talked about for so long, but just haven’t gotten around to yet. Become inspired and decide that 2011is the year to take action and make those improvements. The Home, Garden and Remodeling Show presented by Window World and sponsored by LG&E March 11-13, will offer inspiration to take action this year to complete your desired (and possibly deferred) home projects.
This year the Show will offer more than 400 booths with local and regional vendors offering products that will help stimulate your creative juices and provide you with the chance to touch and feel the products you could have in your home. A new floor plan for the show, which will be held in South Wings B and C of the Kentucky Expo Center, will offer attendees a more enjoyable and easier shopping experience. With everything from green and sustainable products to aging-in-place building techniques and outdoor living ideas to extend your home outdoors, there is surely something for everyone.
If your home improvement projects include cleaning out the basement or attic this year, it’s likely you’ll stumble across trinkets or furniture that you have “collected” over the years. Before you throw these old items in the yard sale bin or the trash bring them to the Logan, Lavelle Hunt Insurance/AAA Antique Appraisal stage featuring Dr. Lori for a free appraisal. Nationally-renowned art history Ph.D. and antique appraiser Dr. Lori will offer certified appraisals of items brought in by show attendees during scheduled times over the duration of the Show weekend. Attendees are able to bring one item per day to the show for appraisal. You never know what sort of trash or treasure you have lying around, but rest assured Dr. Lori will share her opinion and expertise with you about your item in an entertaining and fun manor.
