Honoring those who served

Students at Shepherdsville Elementary took part in a week-long observance of veterans.

They culminated the week of research with a special ceremony on Monday morning.

Mrs. Kim Harding shared stories about her grandfather.

Fifth grades Mackenzie Terrell, Summer Hartlage, Breanna Porter and Hannah Wells presented a skit to the student body.

Tammy Spratt, a fifth-grade teacher, organized a program. Each class adopted a local veteran and presented them with cards thanking them for their service. Over 40 veterans were adopted by the school.
