KNOB CREEK - A woman received burns during a house fire early Tuesday afternoon.
Nichols, Zoneton and Okolona Fire units responded to a house fire with a potential rescue at 165 Knob Creek Circle.
The woman and a small boy safely left the burning home. The woman had burns on her extremities and was transported by Bullitt County EMS to Jewish Hospital Medical Center South.
Firefighters worked for an hour to control the fire. A state fire marshal has been called in for a continuing investigation. Nichols Chief W.D. Coy said the fire appeared to begin in a back bedroom.
Bullitt County Sheriffs, Bullitt County Red Cross and Zoneton Auxiliary units also responded to the scene.
