PIONEER VILLAGE - Becknell Hall played double duty hosting two special city council meetings in one night for tax rates.
The cities of Pioneer Village and Hunters Hollow met back-to-back to establish ad valorem tax rates on real and personal property for the next year.
The special meetings were scheduled because tax rate numbers information from the state arrived late this year.
Mark Edison, attorney for both cities, informed the Pioneer Village council that last year's real property tax rate was set as 12.53 cents per $100.
