HUNTERS HOLLOW - The first meeting of the Hunters Hollow City Commission following the failure of a sewage treatment plant allowed the mayor to update the public.
A portion of a private sewage treatment plant owned by Carroll Cogan blew up on March 29, causing a sewage leak. The plant primarily serves the Hunters Hollow area.
According to mayor Linda Parker, there were four portable plants in place to handle sewage, each with the potential to last for up to one year.
