SHEPHERDSVILLE – As the days dwindle to the filing deadline, activity has been slow at the Bullitt County Clerk’s Office.
Few contested races are looming as the deadline of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, approaches.
The race for the 49th House seat now has two candidates.
Incumbent Linda Belcher could be challenged in the fall by Republican Russell Webber. The two ran against each other in the fall of 2010 with Belcher winning in November.
The other contested race, so far, will also be in the fall.
