Jesse’s Day

-A A +A

HEBRON ESTATES — Jesse Schott loves North Bullitt High School and he loves the JROTC program.

On Friday night, the North Bullitt community displayed how much it loves Jesse Schott.

Having successfully battled cancer on two occasions in his young life, Schott had just learned he would be taking on the deadly disease a third time.

That diagnosis didn’t deter the Eagle from leading the color guard at Friday’s football game against Southern.

Students, parents, family and friends lined the football field, some carrying signs of support, others holding “fat head” signs displaying Jesse’s face.

After successfully leading the color guard for the display of the flags, Schott was at a loss for words. But the smile on his face displayed the pride and joy felt when his name was chanted.

On Saturday morning, the Zoneton Masonic Lodge hosted a breakfast, which raised over $700 for Jessie’s favorite organizations.
