JOM thanked for helping Shepherd’s Shelter effort

-A A +A

FACT:  Last year, 436 evictions and 414 foreclosures were filed in the Bullitt County Court systems.

FACT: According to a HUD annual homelessness survey, 92 homeless persons were found in Bullitt County during a 24 hour time frame in February 2010.

As a result, Shepherd’s Shelter has gone into overdrive in 2011!

By compiling a WISH LIST of the most essential items needed, we have made it our mission to get the word out to local businesses, churches, groups, associations, and families that their help is needed in a desperate way.

Recently, one local company answered that call for help...  Jom Pharmaceutical Services, Inc located at 925 Conestoga Parkway in Shepherdsville.

On Feb. 18, 2011, Luke Lazzo and Al Mincarelli, from Jom Pharmaceuticals, backed their pick-up truck up to the steps of the Shepherd’s Shelter Hillview shelter location and began unloading canned goods, paper products, cleaning supplies, and even a microwave!  The impact of these items on Shepherd’s Shelter clients will be enormous.  Thanks so much to Jom and their employees!
