SHEPHERDSVILLE - A Bullitt Circuit grand jury took less than an hour to find a local man not guilty of rape and sodomy charges.
The seven-man, five-woman jury deliberated 45 minutes on Thursday before deciding that Jeremy Frank was not guilty of two counts of rape and two counts of sodomy in alleged incidents dating back to late 2008.
The allegations were that Frank had improper relations with a juvenile babysitter.
Defense attorney Rebecca Murrell told the jury that there was no evidence of any encounter between the two and that the stories told by the victim were inconsistent.
Det. Scotty McGaha of the Bullitt County Sheriff's Department said there is still the issue of a computer which was seized from the home and is still under investigation.
Frank was out on bond and that was immediately released upon the acquittal.
