MOUNT WASHINGTON - It’s not a job for everyone but Martha Weaver Knox enjoys it.
Since 1988, Knox has been part of the staff at the Bullitt County Detention Center.
For the past three-plus years, the Bullitt County native has served as jailer.
That means that the operation of the jail, the condition of its inmates and the welfare of her staff is on her mind 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“I enjoy the job,” said Knox, 53. “I enjoy helping people.”
