MOUNT WASHINGTON – After starting the season with six straight wins in which they allowed only nine runs, the Bullitt East Lady Chargers needed 17 hits and almost three hours to get its seventh straight victory.
Getting the schedule and the weather to cooperate on just one day last week, the red and gold played host to Meade County on Thursday, a day before the team was set to leave for Florida and its annual spring break trip.
In the end, Bullitt East pushed across a two-out run in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat the Lady Waves 10-9.
