Lady Cougars capture 2 of 3 in First Citizens

-A A +A

First Citizens Bank Classic

By Thomas Barr

HEBRON ESTATES - It’s not necessarily the place you finish at this stage of the season. It’s how your game is progressing.

After an opening loss to Gallatin County in the First Citizens Bank Classic at North Bullitt, the best the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars could finish would be in fifth place.

But for head coach Bryan Bates, each game was to be played to see how much his talented team could improve.

In the opener, Gallatin County, which would play North Bullitt in the championship game, rode a big fourth-quarter to come out victorious 65-54.
