BARDSTOWN - Connecting at the free throw line down the stretch, the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars survived a tough road opener on Wednesday as they turned back Bethlehem 54-51.
Bullitt Central took 24 fewer free throws than the Banshees and made only six of their 13 attempts, but over the final 30 seconds, coach Bryan Bates’ team was three of four at the line to secure the win.
Bethlehem had 37 free throw attempts to just 13 for Bullitt Central, but the Banshees converted just 17 of those 37 attempts.
