HEBRON ESTATES - Too many games in too many days caught up with the North Bullitt Lady Eagles before Christmas as they tried to squeeze the South Oldham Lady Dragon Hoopfest Tournament around a key game against Bullitt Central.

First-year North Bullitt head coach Amber Courtney has already said she won’t try that again.

The Lady Dragon tournament games were played on Thursday, Saturday and Monday before Christmas. North Bullitt then filled in that Friday with the emotional game against Bullitt Central.

As it turned out, the green and gold lost all four of the contests heading into a short Christmas break.

The strain showed the most on Saturday night as the Lady Eagles scored just ten points in the second half of a disappointing 55-27 loss to Moore. The green and gold scored one point in the third quarter after being within 25-17 at halftime.

North Bullitt did open play with strong legs as they battled Lanesville (IN.) for 32 minutes before falling 55-51. The Lady Eagles trailed by 13 points entering the fourth quarter, but battled back to within two points down the stretch and they had the ball with a chance to take a lead, but could not convert.

Senior Bre Kuffner led the Lady Eagles with 24.

After the Bullitt Central game the next night, North Bullitt lost to Moore 55-27. The Lady Eagles will get another shot at the Lady Mustangs on Wednesday of this week in the final game of the First Citizens Bank Classic which North Bullitt is hosting.

North Bullitt did get a break with no game on Sunday and they did comeback to close out the tournament with a better effort before losing to district rival Southern in the 7th-place game of the tournament.

Kuffner finished with 21 points and sophomore Holly White had her best offensive game of the season with 18 points.

North Bullitt will get another shot at Southern when the teams collide on Feb. 2 at North Bullitt.

That action left North Bullitt with a 2-7 record.
