Could the Bullitt County Parks pool next to Bullitt Central been repaired and open last summer?

    Maybe not.

Having to make upgrades on its filtration system to meet federal safety standards and facing a large leak to fix, it may not have been possible to open the third of the county’s four pools.

The problem is that an offer was on the table from the Bullitt County YMCA to provide some funding for the repairs. Unfortunately, that gracious offer never made to the ears of fiscal court members from the county judge’s office.

They didn’t have the chance to evaluate whether it would have been possible to make the repairs and open the facility for at least a few weeks.

The county judge and the magistrates must have an open line of communication. Without full disclosure, sound decisions can’t be made.
