PIONEER VILLAGE - The Little Flock Quilting Guild are spreading the warmth of the holiday season.

Founded in 2004, the Quilting Guild holds annual missions for various service projects, including active military, veterans and nursing homes.

This Christmas 12 members of the Guild’s Quilting Ministry branch created a total of 150 new quilts for the residents of Wesley Manor Nursing Home in Louisville.

Quilting Ministry members will deliver the lap quilts in person. Members have been working on the pieces since September.

The Quilting Ministry provided the lap quilts with donated materials. Anyone wishing to donate materials or funding to the ministry may contact members Shirley Hagan, 314-9148, or Wanda Frazier, 543-2306.

Quilting Ministry members meet on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
