PIONEER VILLAGE - Little Flock Baptist Church has selected its new pastor.

The Rev. Rodney Alexander from Florence, Ky., was recently selected as senior pastor at the church on North Preston Highway.

On Sunday, Jan. 10, a special business meeting was called and the vote taken. This came after Alexander had met with the congregation, the deacons, the Sunday school teachers and preached two services.

The native of Humboldt, Tenn., graduated from Union University in 1981 with a major in religion. He then went to the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 1985 with his master’s degree.

His most recent assignment was as senior associate pastor at Florence Baptist Church. For the past five years, he has coordinated a multi-staff and been responsible for the day-to-day operations.

Previously, the pastor doubled the size of two congregations.

Alexander and his wife of 26 years, Debbie, have three children.
