 MOUNT WASHINGTON - Just call it the calm before the storm.

That is what the nine-day break between the Sixth Region Championship game for the Bullitt East Chargers and the opening game in the Boys’ Kentucky State Tournament is like. For good or bad, it is what it is.

Bardstown, Bullitt East’s first-round opponent at Rupp Arena on Thursday, has one less day in that turnaround, having won the Fifth Region title last Tuesday, a day after Bullitt East qualified for the big show.
