Long-term pay plan for subs remains same for schools

By Thomas Barr

SHEPHERDSVILLE – When Beth Vachon was driving to the June meeting of the Bullitt County Public School Board, she had some mental notes on which she wanted to address.

But, by the time she was called upon to speak, her speech would have to take on a different tone. A tone in which she was quite pleased, but surprised.

Instead of altering the current pay schedule for long-term substitutes, the school board unanimously decided to leave things as they are.

“Thank you all for considering what we had to say,” Vachon told the board.
