Little Flock Christian Academy’s boys’ basketball teams did something a little more suited for the girls - a Pink Out!
The boys’ players donned pink socks during games against West End Academy.
Little Flock assistant principal Anne Gipson said the event was planned to raise awareness of breast cancer, as well as a fundraiser for one of the team member’s mothers who is currently undergoing treatments for breast cancer.
The coaches also wore pink to commemorate the event. Those attending the game were also encouraged to participate.
Pink ribbon pins were available at the door for $2, with proceeds going to help the family.
“Here at Little Flock we’re family,” said Becky Thompson, one of the Pink Out coordinators. “We’re showing support and raising some funding for them.”
