Major changes in place for Friday’s game at BC

SHEPHERDSVILLE – Fans attending Friday’s Bullitt Central-North Bullitt football game, often times the biggest attended event of the year in the county, will have to use new temporary entrances to Bullitt Central’s George Valentine Field.

Because of construction at the school, 71 parking spots nearest the old tennis courts have been fenced off and will not be available for the rest of this football season. In addition, the two normal entrance gates will not be available on Friday.

The ‘front’ entrance for the rest of this football season will be through the gym doors just to the right of the old entrance. Fans will walk through the gym and also pay for tickets before exiting out the doors that the football team used to use to head to the field. This entrance is handicap accessible.

For those fans using the back parking lot in front of Riverview High School, there is now a temporary gravel road behind Riverview that loops around and enters the football area near the scoreboard. Service vehicles (ambulance, fire etc.) will also be using this entrance. There will be ticket sales in this area.

If necessary, fans can park at Roby Elementary and walk to Bullitt Central. However, the old walkway that connected the two schools that ran behind the dental office is now also fenced off. Instead, those fans will have to walk around in front of the businesses in that area and walk through the front parking lot of the school.

In a nutshell, leave a few minutes earlier on Friday if you are heading to The Game.
