SHEPHERDSVILLE - An ex-boyfriend who was implicated in injuries suffered by a young toddler will not serve any additional time in jail.
Phillip Wolfe entered an Alford plea to the charge of criminal abuse. Under the plea agreement, Wolfe would serve two years of diversion on the one-year sentence.
Under the Alford plea, the defendant does not admit guilt. However, he understands there might be enough evidence that a jury could find him guilty.
Wolfe was indicted, along with Courtney McConnell, with criminal abuse.
