SHEPHERDSVILLE - An individual has been indicted in the recent break-in at a church in western Bullitt County.
Jason C. Kays has been indicted by the Bullitt County Grand Jury on allegations that he broke into Sunnyside Baptist Church on June 11, 2009.
According to the indictment, Kays has been charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking and being a persistent felony offender.
In June, Kays allegedly broke into the church and took items valued at over $300.
The crimes are Class D felonies punishable by 1-5 years in prison.
